The 2 main reasons why people don’t heal (and what to do instead)

So you are on a path, you have done healing sessions, energy work, you meditate, you took ayahuasca or did shamanic rituals. You do have a vision for what you want to do.
But in reality, you feel stuck. Nothing is happening. It is just more of the same. So, you go back to healing, meet yet another healer … who finds wounds (yes, again, those you thought you had dealt with, darn it!) and you feel trapped in the vicious circle of healing.
When you have done enough healing
You may be on a path towards self, healing and transformation, you may have done serious work and yet, you go back to continue the work and go back to the same patterns.
A few years ago, I had a series of 3 sessions with clients (when higher consciousness wants to show me something, it usually comes in 3, then we move on). Two had gone back to a healer who found the same wounds they worked on a long time and thought was dealt with. The third person explained at length how she was still paying the price of what she had done in a past life (as a witch). She had to ask for forgiveness again and again.
For these three people, the message I had to convey was very clear : they had done enough healing, this was dealt with and it was time for them to move on.
The healers who found the wound again were not necessarily wrong. I believe we carry memories of our wounds. The question is : is that still active or not ? You see, it is a little bit like scars : at some point, it is no longer sensitive, there is no more inflammation, nor more redness, yet, it is there. It means you have been through something, it is part of you, you have healed when you can use your wound to grow and not react to it anymore.
Attachment vs responsibility
So what actually shifts things?
It’s when you claim your Inner Power and take full responsibility. You do have agency, even over your wounds. And here’s the truth: You get to decide when it’s enough.
Here is a little tip: it’s usually faster than you think. You don’t need endless healing sessions or ritual after ritual. Just decide it’s time to step in.
The trap of attachment
We cling to our wounds, we even make them part of our identity. We think we’re going to healers to release them, but often time, we’re just handing over our power. We crave the support, the energy, the temporary relief. And the cycle continues.
Also, as long as we’re “healing,” we’ve got a ready-made excuse for why we’re not moving forward.
Finally, be aware of the shadow side of healing
Some healers (unintentionally) keep the cycle alive: they are there to heal, they find a wound, heal it, repeat. The result? We stay stuck in the role of the “wounded one.” We create an attachment to that part of our identity. Every time an old pain surfaces, we default to “healing mode.” But the real question is: Is this still alive in you?
In my program, I help you work on what is holding you back and releasing it, it is deep, structural work, not a healing session. You don’t need 8 sessions on the same issue; you need to own your power, be responsible. And step In.
So, I am with you, and I encourage you to step in. Step in messiness. Step in and try. Step in and fail. Step in and try again. Step in and rise. Step in because this is what the world needs now. Step in because this is becoming urgent. Step in and have the impact you want : to change yourself, your loved ones, your friends, your team, the world. It does not matter. There is no small goal.
Yet, maybe you have done that, you have embraced the change, you have taken risks, you are embodying your vision. And nothing is happening.
And then again I hear you. Not because it makes you feel heard or seen when I write it. But because I have struggled with it for a long time. 7 years, or 15, or 18, depending on what I consider my starting point.
What is happening there ?
Reality on Earth : matter and density
This is about incarnation.
I believe life on Earth is special, we get to make this unique experience in the matter, figure out how to transcribe what we feel, what we desire, our vision (our purpose) into the matter. And the matter, unlike energy (for most cases), is very dense. With density comes resistance. So, it takes more time to build in matter.
We have also been led to believe by a candid (and rather naive) approach to spirituality that ‘once we ll be aligned, everything will be easy’. (something like ‘build it and they will come’). Well… I have a different point of view. And hear me out, I am not saying it should be difficult or long or painful. That is one perspective.
But this is a rather egocentric approach that forgets that the world does not revolve around you, that there may be bigger things at play. Also, it does not say what alignment is, and it is way more complex than we'd like to think.
Understand everything we go through in life is a reflection of something bigger at play : your beliefs, your identity (among others) and some unseen forces.
Then there is Karma. We all come with our baggage here on Earth. Some unknown stuff that we get to discover more or less randomly. And sometimes it is heavy. And there are the choices we make or made in the past, that can have more or less impact on our lives. You choose to have children, great. This is not like deciding to have a chocolate cake for dessert today. In the first case you have a responsibility for 18 years (officially, in most countries). Whereas with the cake, you may feel the sugar kick for a few minutes then a heavy stomach for a couple of hours; then you are done.
Life itself, the very experience of incarnation on Earth, brings us periods of contraction and trial, sometimes brief, sometimes prolonged. These are an intrinsic part of our human experience. They’re uncomfortable. Unpleasant. At times, we wonder if we’ll ever see the end of them.
And then, sometimes, life simply happens. We find ourselves in situations we neither consciously wanted nor sought.
Yet for those willing to engage, there is always something to be made of these passages.
Life is not fair, but life is NOT about being fair. It is about your unique experience, and what you make of it. In this, universal consciousness (call it God, the universe… whatever) couldn’t care less about time. It has nothing to do with what you make of life. Time is bound by matter here.
Now you understand and you wonder what you can do.
Well, I don’t do miracles, but I think life itself is a miracle. So what I can suggest is that you identify the emergency, and work your way out of it, one step at a time. Ask for help when you can. Get the support you need.
Trust that your vision, if you have a calling, not only will be there when you are back on your feet, but that it also needs the experience (and the learning points) you are going through.
Learn your lesson, go all in, find the depth of it, the pain (all of it, the tears and the fears), the vulnerability. Because I can tell you this is your greatest gift.
And if you don’t know your calling, well, it is precisely there.
So, take a deep breath, slow down, shift your perspective (there is always something to shift).
Find joy in small things, because joy is the fuel to miracles. Come back to Earth one day at a time.
Decide that you belong here on Earth, and embrace life as it is.
With Love,
Claire
